AccessAlly provides a few pre-created ActiveCampaign automation campaigns for free, and we’ll walk you through how the abandoned cart follow-up campaign works.
If you’re not familiar with the term “abandoned cart”, it’s when a potential customer comes to your website and clicks the “buy now” button but doesn’t complete their order.
It happens all the time, and most websites average a 75% abandoned shopping cart rate. Luckily, with AccessAlly’s order form design you’ll be able to capture a potential customer’s name and email to follow-up with them even if they haven’t completed their order.
This is done by applying a tag right inside ActiveCampaign, and by using a wait timer to check to see if the customer has a purchase successful tag or not.
If the customer didn’t get the purchase complete tag, then ActiveCampaign will start to send a sequence of emails to bring the customer back to the site to complete their order.
This type of campaign is surprisingly effective, because most people don’t intend to abandon their cart. They may get interrupted, their credit card might be in another room, or they get pulled away from their computer. A few email reminders can make a world of difference to your bottom line!
